Mikey’s pizza

When my son makes something in the kitchen, he takes it very seriously. What started out as me wanting to make pizza, turned into me becoming Mikey’s assistant. Pizza is really a fun thing to make with your kids.

Here’s what we did – We lightly greased/sprayed the pan with butter. We unrolled the ‘already made’ Pillsbury thin crust pizza dough onto a 9×12 metal baking pan.  We put the dough in the oven for about 10 minutes. While it baked, we cut thin slices of hot Italian sausage, rolled them into small balls and cooked them up with a bit of fresh rosemary.

When the dough was done, we added Boboli pizza sauce to the surface. We sprinkled Trader Joe’s three cheese lite and fresh oregano. Next we added slices of fresh garlic cloves, boboli pepperoni, thin red onion rings and the sausage/rosemary mix. Right before it went into the oven, Mikey looks over to me and says “Mom, this is not complete without the secret ingredient“. He went to the fridge and grabbed grated parmesan cheese.

We put it in the oven for 10 minutes and done!

Wow, fast and easy. Pizza is something I don’t make myself but with this recipe, I might have to do it! Welcome to Sabroso Saturday!

I like your son, secret ingredients are important. Don’t tell my daughter, sometimes my secret ingredient is freshly ground pepper or other spices from the cabinet- something about freshly ground or crushed makes it extra special.

Pizza is big in my house! Like the focus on meat!
