Hello! Welcome to my blog.
My name is Rachel. I’m an art historian – museum education/programs, artist interviews, lectures and the like, is what I do. I also curate, paint portraits and I even dabbled in acting. I studied at the School of Visual arts, where I majored in painting and arts education. I immediately started working in the museum field while taking graduate courses in Modern Art at Columbia University, and started a family. I’ve worked for The Guggenheim, The Bronx Museum, PMA, LACMA, and the Norton Simon, just to name a few, under several different capacities.

I have an amazing son – his name is Michael, but we all call him Mikey. What can I say, he’s the light of my life. I balance wine and cheese art show events with life on football and soccer fields, basketball courts, science fairs, classroom volunteering and PTA meetings.
The other fantastic guy in my life happens to be my hubby – my best friend. He’s a talented Art Director in the movie marketing world, a photographer and avid gadget collector.
In the fall of 2010, I started this blog. Since then, I developed a passion for photography and writing. Up until that point, my writing was purely academic in the form of essays and art historical research. I’ve learned to loosen up a bit. I am also part of Latina Bloggers Connect as their Account Executive working directly with brands, bloggers and the wonderful Ana Flores.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
